AMECaL is a Precision Calibration Laboratory accredited with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, Inc (PJLA) including the calibration of Autoclaves. We have 15 years of experience in working with electrical and environmental test equipment. AMECaL takes an active part in research and development process of new instruments and we are proud owners of one of the best calibrators on this planet.
An Autoclave is a pressure chamber (“strong heated container”). It is used to carry out industrial processes (chemical reactions) which require elevated temperature and pressure that is different from ambient air pressure. There are many types of Autoclaves available optimised for specific purposes and for variety of uses. There are many industries using this type of equipment in their everyday use. One industry worth mentioning in terms of Autoclaves is Chemicals, where they are being used for curing coatings, hydro-thermal synthesis and vulcanisation of rubber. The aviation industry and racing car manufacturers use Autoclaves for curing composite materials in a heated nitrogen atmosphere. In electrical industry Autoclaves are often used for growing synthetic crystals. One of the most important is medical industry where Autoclaves are in use for sterilisation. All medical instruments needs to be sterile before use. These are just few examples of how Autoclaves can be used.
This type of equipment must be in full working order all the time as it is part of very important processes. Autoclaves comes pre-calibrated by the manufacturer but because of some external and internal factors they lose their accuracy over time. For health and safety reasons it is required to perform Autoclave calibration every 6-12 months. There are specialised laboratories that can calibrate Autoclaves for their customers. One of them is AMECaL. Our experienced team of staff can guarantee that the calibration will be performed to the highest possible standard. We frequently work with Autoclaves and have hundreds of satisfied customers.
AMECaL can offer two types of calibration services for its customers. We understand that every customer has custom requirements and that is why we can calibrate Autoclaves in accordance to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 international standard (ISO 17025 Autoclave calibration) or the British National Standard (traceable Autoclave calibration).
