Gas Analyser Calibration in accordance with BS EN60079-29-2: 2015
Our comprehensive Gas Analyser Calibration Service provides large coverage in terms of gas types and brands of equipment. The service is available at our facility in Newcastle upon Tyne, which has at its disposal a variety of gas sources and accurate flow equipment to correctly calibrate the wide variety of instruments we see.
Calibrating Gas Analysers and Detectors is a very important service, especially for those in the Construction, Civil Engineering and Utilities sectors. The Emergency Services (Police and Fire) have also been customers of ours in the past for Gas Detector Calibration. It is a requirement of most of these industries that analysers are regularly calibrated in order to meet stringent safety standards and accreditations. The fact that most Gas Analyser manufacturers recommend their instruments are calibrated at least every 6 months highlights the importance of accurate readings and the propensity for the measurements to drift.
Having your Gas Monitoring instruments calibrated by AMECaL on a regular basis will ensure your readings of gas remain accurate and do not expose employees or the general public to risk. It is difficult to recommend a calibration period across the board, a lot depends on the gas, the level use and what your trade association or governing body advises on the matter. We tend to go with manufacturer guidance and say 6 months between calibrations as a minimum.
There are many types of Gas Detector that we can test as part of our wider Gas Calibration Service, these are listed below:
02 Depletion Detectors
Flue Gas Analysers
Gas Alert Clips
Portable Two and Four Gas Monitors
Single Gas Instruments
