RCD (Residual Current Device) is one of the most important parts of an electrical system that is safety mechanism designed to prevent fatal electrical shock from happening to a person touching bare live wire. This device can also protect system from failure and fire hazard (electrical fires). Its main task is to disconnect the circuit (or part of it) in the event of a fault. RCD Tester is used to safely trigger the RCD device to check if it operates accurately and timely in case of any electrical incident (safety switch testing).
Any type of electrical and environmental test equipment will lose its accuracy and precision over time. RCD testers are no exception from this rule. It is advisable to re-calibrate the instrument every 6 – 12 months and to use ISO 17025 accredited laboratory like AMECaL.
Our laboratory offers two types of calibration services. We understand that every customer has different requirements and that is why we are always open for custom quotes. AMECaL can calibrate any make or model of RCD tester in accordance to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 international standard (ISO 17025 RCD Tester calibration) or the British National Standard (traceable RCD tester calibration).
AMECaL sells its leading brand of electrical and environmental equipment to customers around the world. One of our best selling electrical test instruments is AMECaL ST-9054A RCD Tester that can also be calibrated and certified by our laboratory.
